Connecting your AWS infrastructure with Olivia’s Mobile Cloud has unique advantages. By leveraging a peering connection you gain access to your SIM, without the use of an actual VPN. Your data is automatically encrypted, and never travels over the public internet. All this is possible by routing your traffic via Amazon’s private infrastructure.

Connecting Azure to the Olivia Mobile cloud
Connect the Azure VPN Gateway with the Olivia Mobile Cloud through Site-to-Site VPNs in a similar way that you set up and connect to a remote branch office. The connectivity is secure and uses the industry-standard protocols Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) and Internet Key Exchange (IKE).
Connecting Google Cloud to the Olivia Mobile Cloud
Using Google’s Cloud VPN securely extends your Google network to Olivia’s through an IPsec VPN tunnel. Traffic is encrypted and travels between the two networks over the public internet. This high availability VPN offers guarantees uptime.

Setup
How do you connect to my cloud provider?
This depends on the provider and requirements of your project. When using AWS, our preferred method is to peer via transit gateway. If you use Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure we set up a redundant managed VPN to your cloud environment.
My team has little knowledge about cloud networking, can you help?
We are here to help. Your team is provided with full documentation on how to set this up. Support during the integration via phone and email is included. We’ll make sure to support you untill everything works.
Can I test CloudConnect?
In the early stages of your projects, it’s best to use our OpenVPN service. It’s set up in minutes and allows you to work on your project with a VPN. You can easily install OpenVPN on EC2’s, VM’s or GCE’s.
How long does it take to setup CloudConnect?
We move fast. In collaboration with your team, we can potentially set this up in one day. The setup is probably finished before the SIM cards arrive by mail.
What ranges should I avoid when choosing my subnet?
During integration, our team will advise on the best setup regarding subnets. We prefer to not disclose any IP information publicly.
What size subnet can I make available for CloudConnect?
Our default recommendation is to use a subnet mask of 24 bits in your cloud environment. When required, you can assign up to 3 subnets to CloudConnect, so there are no limits to a growing your project exponentially.

How do you assure uptime for my Cloud connection?
Our core is available in three different availability zones in AWS. It is cross-operator compatible and connected via four geo-redundant VPN connections. This ensures a near 100% uptime of our services.
From our Mobile Cloud Core, we connect to your private network via streamlined and scalable best-practices in the cloud. All services are fully managed and run via the backbone of each cloud provider.
How many SIM cards does CloudConnect support?
As standard practice with cloud resources it will automatically scale with the size of your project. There is no limit on the number of connections that can run via CloudConnect.
Can my SIM cards access the internet?
Yes, your SIM cards will still be able to access public IP addresses. The traffic is routed to the internet via our NAT gateway and is protected against inbound traffic. Upon request, we can disable all incoming traffic from the internet.
I need a dedicated network connection. Is that possible?
Yes, that’s possible. If your cloud provider is AWS, the transit gateway is already peered over the private infrastructure of AWS. With Azure we can facilitate a direct connection via ExpressRoute. For Google Cloud we provide a dedicated option with Interconnect. Talk to our team about your project and requirements for more details on a dedicated connection.

What security methods are used connecting to AWS?
Traffic between the Olivia Mobile Cloud and your AWS deployment is handled via the AWS Transit Gateway. This ensures that all traffic remains on the AWS global private network and is not exposed to the public internet. AWS Transit Gateway inter-region peering encrypts all traffic, with no single point of failure or bandwidth bottleneck. This helps protect against distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks and other common exploits.
What security methods are used connecting with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud?
Connecting to both Azure and Google Cloud a secured Site-to-Site VPN is set up. The connectivity is secure and uses the industry-standard protocols Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) and Internet Key Exchange (IKE).

What SLA do you provide on CloudConnect?
Our service on default is fully redundant and scalable. CloudConnect in combination with our connectivity services comes with a Service Level Agreement. Talk to our team to request an example or discuss your custom needs.
What is the minimum contract term of CloudConnect?
CloudConnect has a minimum contract term of 3 months. After three months, it can be cancelled on a monthly base.
How is CloudConnect billed?
CloudConnect is available with a flat rate of $149 / €139 per month. There are no setup costs but charges for SIM cards, subscription- and data fees still apply.
